Pengelolaan Biaya Produksi Pada Peternakan Kambing Desa Bantar Panjang Kecamatan Tigaraksa Kabupaten Tangerang

Abstract

Goat farming plays a significant role in the economy of Bantar Panjang Village, Tigaraksa Sub-district, Tangerang Regency. However, challenges in managing production costs, such as feed price fluctuations and limited capital, often hinder progress. This study aims to analyze production cost management in goat farming and its impact on business sustainability. A participatory method was employed, with data collected through observation, interviews, and document studies. The findings revealed that fixed costs, such as housing construction, can be reduced by utilizing local materials, while variable costs, such as feed and livestock health, can be minimized through self-sufficient feed cultivation and routine vaccination. In conclusion, efficient cost management strategies can enhance productivity and business sustainability. Recommendations include improving access to technology and diversifying goat-based products.
