Abstract

Homestay room rental in the Thousand Islands is a business in the accommodation sector that faces challenges in improving the quality of service to tourists. One of the main problems is the use of a rental system that is still manual, using paper media as a data storage tool. This causes difficulties in accessing data quickly, resulting in delays in the service process, and the potential for data duplication that can interfere with smooth operations. Therefore, a change towards a more modern and efficient homestay rental information system is a necessity. To overcome these problems, it is necessary to design a computerized system. With a computerized system, work can be done faster and more accurately compared to manual systems. This system also helps avoid data irregularities and rental transactions that can cause losses, so that the lessee can make better decisions, the research method carried out is a qualitative method, Designing using UML diagrams This research aims to design, develop, and implement a computerized homestay rental information system. With a focus on improving operational and service efficiency, this study provides an in-depth view of the benefits and challenges of adopting a modern information system in the field of Homestay room rental in the Thousand Islands.
