MENGOPTIMALKAN BIAYA PENGIRIMAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE NORTH WEST CORNER DAN LEAST COST PADA PT.SFM

Abstract

Transportation methods are methods used to organize distribution from sources that provide the same product to places that need it optimally. The allocation of this product must be arranged in such a way, because there are differences in allocation costs from one source to a destination. Transportation cases arise when a company tries to determine the delivery method with optimal costs to PT. SFM, the high costs are due to the lack of regular distribution patterns from the source place to the marketing place, so the company tries to optimize transportation costs. This could be detrimental to the company if left unchecked, therefore this research uses the NWC (North West Corner) and Least Cost transportation methods and can result from the NWC method. The optimal price is 2850$, while using the Least Cost method the price is 1300$.
