Author Guidelines

Journal of Education and Science (JUPISI)

The Journal of Education and Science (JUPISI) publishes high-quality scientific articles in the fields of education and the development of science. This guideline is intended to assist authors in preparing and submitting manuscripts that meet the journal’s standards.

Scope of the Journal

JUPISI welcomes original research articles, literature reviews, and conceptual studies that focus on various aspects of education and scientific development. Manuscripts should contribute significantly to academic discourse in these fields.

Submission Guidelines

Manuscripts must be submitted through the JUPISI online submission system, accessible at JUPISI Submission Portal. Authors are required to register and log in before submitting their manuscripts.

The editorial team only accepts articles that have never been published or are not under consideration by other media, whether print or electronic. Authors must ensure that their work is original and free from plagiarism.

Manuscript Format

Manuscripts must be written in English or Bahasa Indonesia, using Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx), and following the official JUPISI template, which can be downloaded from the journal’s website.

  • Paper Size: A4 (210 x 297 mm)
  • Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides
  • Font: Times New Roman, size 12 pt
  • Line Spacing: 1.5
  • Length: 4,000–7,000 words, including references, tables, and figures

Manuscript Structure

The manuscript must follow the JUPISI journal template, ensuring consistency in format and style. Authors should carefully review the template to structure their articles appropriately.

Abstract and Keywords

Each manuscript must include an abstract of 200–250 words written in both English and Bahasa Indonesia. The abstract should clearly state the purpose of the study, research methodology, key findings, and conclusions.

Provide 5 keywords that reflect the core content of the manuscript, separated by commas.

Tables and Figures

  • Tables and figures must be presented in their original, editable format (not as images).
  • Each table and figure should be numbered consecutively (e.g., Table 1, Figure 1) and provided with a descriptive title.
  • Sources for data in tables and figures must be properly cited.

References

References must follow the APA (7th edition) citation style. Authors are encouraged to use Mendeley or a similar reference management tool to organize and format citations.

  • Minimum References: 15 sources
  • At least 80% of references should be from recent publications (within the last 5 years), preferably from reputable academic journals, books, and credible reports.

Plagiarism Policy

All manuscripts will undergo plagiarism screening using reliable software. Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 25% will be rejected or returned for revision. Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality of their work.

Peer Review Process

JUPISI employs a double-blind peer review process to maintain objectivity and academic integrity. Submitted manuscripts will be reviewed by at least two independent reviewers. Authors can expect initial feedback within 4–8 weeks after submission.

Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editorial team may:

  • Accept the manuscript without revisions
  • Request minor or major revisions
  • Reject the manuscript if it does not meet the journal’s standards

Editorial Rights

The editorial team reserves the right to make minor edits to the manuscript, particularly for the purpose of formatting uniformity, without altering the content or meaning of the article.

Publication Frequency

JUPISI is published twice a year, in November and May.

Article Processing Charges (APC)

Information regarding publication fees (if applicable) will be provided upon the acceptance of the manuscript.
