Abstract

Self-confidence is a psychological factor that plays a crucial role in athletic performance, including students participating in university futsal clubs. This study aims to analyze the self-confidence levels of students involved in the futsal club at Universitas Tangerang Raya. The research employs a quantitative descriptive approach, with 30 male students actively participating in the futsal club as research subjects. Data were collected using a questionnaire measuring self-confidence aspects in various situations, such as training, competition, social interactions, and individual futsal skills. The results indicate that students’ self-confidence levels fall within the high category, with an average score of 4.39 on a maximum scale of 5.00. The median and mode values of 5.00 suggest that most students exhibit very high self-confidence. Although some students reported lower self-confidence levels (minimum score of 2.00), the relatively small standard deviation (0.70) indicates minimal variation in self-confidence levels. In conclusion, students participating in the futsal club at Universitas Tangerang Raya tend to have high self-confidence, likely influenced by factors such as playing experience, social support, and a conducive environment. Further qualitative research is recommended to explore additional factors influencing students’ self-confidence.
